You’ve come to a great place if you ever wanted to know how to properly wash your face. You may be thinking, “Just rinse with some cleanser and you’re done!”
Although it’s a simple step in your skincare routine, washing your face properly is important. It pays to do things right.
These are some easy tips to make cleaning easier.
1. CLEAN YOUR FACE EACH NIGHT
It is important to wash your face before you go to bed. This goes for all beauty routines, even if you don’t use makeup.
Dirt and pollution build up on the skin’s outermost layer during the day. Sebum and makeup can also accumulate on the outermost skin layer if we apply make-up.
This mixture of substances should not be removed as it can cause skin irritations and more impurities.
If you wear make-up, I suggest that you first remove it with a makeup remover, then cleanse your skin with the mild foaming cleanser.
2. EVERY MORNING
Can You Wash Your Face Too Much? It may seem that all you need is to wash your face before going to bed. Mistaken! Also, wash your face every morning. To keep your skin looking fresher and cleaner, it’s a good idea to get rid of the excess sweat and sebum that we produce at night.
3. ATTENTION TO WATER TEMPERATURE
It is possible to get irritated by extreme temperatures, whether they are hot or cold. A very high temperature, for example, can cause vasodilation and immediate redness. Sensitive or dry skin is more at risk. Heat can also trigger rosacea. To wash your face, you will need to use lukewarm waters.
4. Use a detergent that is suitable for your skin type
Choose a cleanser that suits your skin type when searching for one. For dry skin, you should use gentle cleansing oils and foaming cleansers. A foaming cleanser is suitable for oily or combination skin types.
5. If you want to use a bar of soap, choose a sunset
The saponification reaction is where a base (eg caustic soap) reacts with an oil (eg vegetable oils). This creates classic soap. This soap has a pH of 8/10, which is very different from the pH of the skin. This can cause irritation and itching by being aggressive to the skin’s lipid structure and resident skin flora.
6. Do not exceed the frequency
It is recommended that you wash your face at least twice daily: once in the morning and one in the evening.
Rinse your face after any physical activity.
7. GIVE US THE RIGHT TIME
It is impossible to clean your face in one second. I recommend moistening your face with moisturizer, applying the correct amount of cleanser to your skin, and massaging it with circular movements for approximately 20-30 seconds using your fingertips. Rinse off with water.
8. Do not rub or soak too much
It is tempting to feel clean and purified. However, I think you might sometimes make the mistake of over-scrubbing or applying too much lotion.
This does not increase effectiveness. It could, however, be aggressive.
9. Do Not Use a ” SCRUBBING” DETERGENT Every Day
We are careful with our skin and try to treat it gently. There are exfoliating spheres in some cleansers, but I don’t recommend using them daily. You might like their action. However, you should only use them as a scrub once a week.
10. MAKE-UP REMOVAL WIPES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN EMERGENCY
For cleansing and effectively removing makeup, make-up remover wipes do not work. They should only be used in an emergency. Otherwise, you can always use them to clean your skin. They are not enough.
